Taking Chicken Sandwiches To A New Level

Everyday is a good day for some BBQ, but let's specially talk about Big Ike’s BBQ restaurant! I visited them today and they had me at hello with their chicken sandwich. It was a complete game changer and I couldn’t wait to tell you guys about it.

I tasted their hot honey chicken sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato and onions on a glazed bun served with a side of fries. This sandwich was literally mouthwatering, when I took my first bite you could see how juicy and fresh the chicken was. I’d be a fool to not go back and try another saucy, flavorful chicken sandwich.

I also tried their Philly Cheesesteak made with onions, peppers and cheese on a sub bun which was also AMAZING, it was so cheesy, and delicate! I literally need another one like NOW! Lastly, I had an Oreo Java dessert cup made by Pretty Layers Of Desserts that are available for purchase at the restaurant. My Oreo Java dessert cup was sensational at this point, I need to try every menu item at Big Ike's BBQ.

Making the Impossible, Possible!

Have you ever taken a bite of something and literally said “wow!!!” ? Well that was just me this past Saturday when I visited Baby Vegan Café!!! They just opened 4 weeks ago and when I say they are the bomb, I MEAN IT! Local entrepreneurs Travis Johnson and Chef Kameron Wynn truly made it an amazing experience!

I tried their Impossible sliders which were made with plant based patties, vegan cheese, onion, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles served with a side of tater tots! Y’all, the Pattie’s taste like they came straight off of a grill!!! VEGAN WHERE? It was so tasty I couldn’t believe with my own taste buds that this was really just a vegan patty. Everything was perfect, even the seasonings! They literally made the "impossible", possible!

I also tried their Tachos which is the vegan version of nachos, made with the same ingredients as the plant based patty only grounded, lime cilantro, fresh Pico, lettuce and vegan cheese, served on top of tater tots! This dish was definitely out of the ordinary, but boy oh boy it was so delicious and also full of flavor!!!

Lastly I also tasted their signature tea which was amazing as well as their freshly squeezed peach lemonade which they make right in front of you and that alone made my experience there 10x more unique!

I must admit I was a little on edge because I am not vegan and I’ve always thought “vegan food” could never be as flavorful, but Baby Vegan Café proved me wrong every way possible!

I even had the chance to speak with a returning customer named Mayola who stated “This is my second time here, when I had the vegan tacos I instantly knew I needed to come back and try another menu item because it was so good!”.

Vegan or not, you NEED to check this place out! The staff is full of great energy, very informative about menu items and the cleanliness of the establishment is pure perfection!

Big Tastee Burger

I was tagged in a post about a new restaurant in town that definitely caught my eye called Tastees' and one thing I can say is that it ABSOLUTELY lives up to its name!

I Purchased the Big Tastee Burger which includes Two 1/4 lbs. turkey patties, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayo, pickle and onion served with a side of perfectly seasoned fries.

When I took my very first bite it felt like I was in burger heaven. Although the burger was so big that it could hardly fit in my mouth, yet and still every bite was full of so much flavor and beauty. Everything was perfect, from the juicy meat to the seasoning and to the fresh veggies on top of my burger.

If you aren't convinced by now on why you should get in your car and head over to Tastees' for a Tastee treat, then let me give you 5 reasons why you should.

1. Their food is delicious and full of flavor.

2. They have menu options for vegans.

3. You can place an online order if you don't want to wait in line.

4. The customer service is amazing

5. They have a wide verity of treats for you to choose from, (Ice cream, sundaes, funnel cakes, slushies and more!)
